Volunteer Opportunity: SuperWalk Coordinator

Parkinson Canada is seeking a dedicated SuperWalk Coordinator to lead the organization of SuperWalk events in various communities. This role is crucial in raising awareness and funds to support people living with Parkinson’s.

About Parkinson Canada:
Parkinson Canada is committed to improving the lives of people with Parkinson’s and advancing research for better treatments and a cure. They provide education, services, and advocacy for the Parkinson’s community.

Role Responsibilities:

- Lead the coordination of SuperWalk events
- Recruit and manage volunteers
- Secure event sites and local sponsorships
- Prepare event budgets
- Ensure all activities align with Parkinson Canada’s policies
- Support the organizing committee and participants
- Oversee event logistics and post-event wrap-up

Skills Required:

- Exceptional leadership and organizational skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication abilities
- Ability to delegate and hold volunteers accountable
- Interest in supporting the Parkinson’s community

Commitment:

- March to October
- 6-8 hours per month
- Monthly meetings
-Event day attendance (early September)
